Q & A

What is Foodscaping?

You are probably familiar with the term landscaping, which is modifying the visible features of an area of land with living elements such as trees and shrubs. Foodscaping can be thought of as "edible landscaping". With a mix of perennials, flowers, fruits, and vegetables, foodscaping strives to create an abundant ecosystem full of native plants, pollinator habitats, and edible foods right outside your door. Our goal is to transform boring, under-utilized landscapes into beautiful, abundant foodscapes.

What services do you offer?

Our goal is to help you grow more eco-conscious plants that you probably won't find at the big box store. From a balcony herb garden to a full-blown backyard redesign full of edible plants and a veggie/pollinator garden, we are here to help. Since each person's yard, experience, and budget are different, we will create a custom plan just for you. Find our full list of services here.

Where can foodscapes be established?

Almost anywhere! A grass lawn is a natural candidate to be replaced with a large-scale edible landscape, but foodscaping can be accomplished in flower beds, along walking paths and driveway strips, up a trellis/fence...basically, anywhere that receives some sunlight!

Can you help me revive my old, long-forgotten garden beds?

Absolutely! While building all new beds is an option, reducing the need for all-new materials is one of our core values as a business. We'd be happy to revamp your old beds by replacing any old, lifeless soil with a fresh compost mix and planting your favorite vegetables.

What are your waiting times like?

It varies by season, but either book a consultation online or contact us by email or phone and we can set up a time to discuss the next step.

What payment methods do you accept?

You may pay online, in person or by mail with cash, check, or card. Consultations are available to book online. At the end of a project, an invoice will be sent to the address on file.

What is your product return policy on the GARDEN SHOP?
